Hello all, my name is Rob. Gaming has always been a passion of mine since a young age. I first started with Sega genesis and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and it changed my life forever. The purpose of this blog is to send me your thoughts on all topics of modern and classic gaming. I will repost them with some initial thoughts and I’ll try not to rant too much. My hopes are eventually to make these discussions a live broadcast at some point in the future. But until then send me your questions (try to make them no longer then a paragraph) and I will reblog them as soon as possible. Happy Gaming!

defendenosinproelio:

The last book I read was Battle of the Fang, the latest release on the story of the rivalry between the space wolves and thousand sons that follows on 2000 years after the Horus heresy series.
Never have I read such an engrossing book. The sheer weight of honour, revenge, blood-hatred and brotherhood in the underlying story is imense.

The Vlyka Fenryka (space wolves) are based on viking warriors possesed by an inner demon - The wolf that both keeps them strong but close to the edge of being lost. The thousand sons are dark sorcerers more concerned with vengence against the wolves than any loyalty to chaos itself but they damn themselves further and further to their own disgcust.

It has even given me such a new found respect for the wolves that I now wish to collect them as well as the Black Templars having seen them in this new light, this pure, warrior state of theirs is truly inspiring.

Many of you may think warhammer 40k is sad and I whole heartedly agree that some people do ruin it for others as with all things but if you read this book and ‘prospero burns’ preceeding it then you would realise how incredible this universe is.

Chris Wraight deserves far more credit than the string of teen author heroines at the moment ….

As if this wasnt good enough, get lost in Skyrim, then read this whilst listening to Amon Amarths ‘live for the kill’ on the twilight of the thunder gods album which is about wolves and warriors on the hunt and you have yourself the perfect warrior fantasty metal night.

Lyrics to Live For The Kill :

(feat. Apocalyptica)

The pack of wolves
Are closing in
Now, hear the howling beasts
They move fast
Through winter woods
And soon it’s time to feast

A vicious hunt
On through the night
The prey is short of breath
They feel the sting
Of burning eyes
That’s fixed upon their necks

A predator’s heart
Knows no remorse
It lives for the hunt
A predator’s heart
Knows no remorse
It lives for the hunt
A natural force

They show their sharp
And grinning teeth
As howls are getting higher
Sending chills
Down fleeing spines
Their blood runs hot as fire

The vicious chase
Is soon at end
They’re hunted until death
They feel the pain
Of sharpening steel
That’s cutting through their flesh

Fearless warriors
Feed the wolves
Now hear the howling beasts
They move fast
Through winter woods
See the grey-backs feast

A natural force
It knows no remorse
And lives for the kill

A little bit more about me. Video games aren’t the only thing I play. Infact a few years ago I would say I really don’t play a lot of video games. Warhammer is one of my favorite things to play, even though I have not had a lot of time to play the new edition. I remember first walking into a Games Workshop in my local mall with my friend Kate on my sixteenth birthday and I immediately became interested in this game played with miniatures. With a quick mind switch on my birthday gift I took home a Battle For Macragge starter box set. Recently, however moving back from Florida I had to end up selling a fair amount of my models to be able to fit all of my stuff into the car. So I haven’t played in about 6 months but that is bound to change since I found an impressive store 5 minutes from my house. I’m planning on doing a lot of blogging on all the cool games that are coming out from other companies like Fantasy Flight Games and Privateer Press.
If anyone has any recommendations for either table top or board games I would love to hear about them!

A little bit about myself. I’ve been playing World of Warcraft on and off since launch. Earlier in the year I was playing with a bunch of friends however, real life stuff got in the away and they had to cut down their playing time. As a result I was a left alone to pug. Though recently I met a great group of players who invited me to join their guild and I feel as if I belong once more. This is my priest who I’ve had a love hate relationship with for almost a year. He is now half a level away from hitting 85. He will be my fourth after a hunter, paladin, and a shaman.
The reason I post this is to make my message clear. I would really like to give something back to the community of people who are as passionate as me in nerdy things. So please send your questions for disscussion (they can be WoW related if you like.) Take it easy everyone.

Greetings!

I’m looking to start a gaming blog but I need your help! Send me questions for discussion and I will do my best to answer them. They can be anything modern or classic gaming related. Examples include cooperative VS competitive gaming, PC gaming possibly making a come back, or you could even just ask me what I am excited for in the future. Nothing is off limits! Just try to keep questions to a paragraph and I will do my best to answer them.
